GARDN Approves SRS’ Flight Advisory System Proposal

On December 14th, 2016, the Green Aviation Research and Development Network (GARDN) approved Specific Range Solutions Ltd.’s (SRS) proposal to enhance and test its innovative iPad-based Flight Advisory System (FAS), as well as to investigate new flight trajectory optimization concepts.  Funding has been granted under the auspices of the 4th Round Call of the GARDN II Program.

SRS will be continuing its close partnership with Carleton University’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Aero Safety Consulting during this next phase of our collaborative project. Furthermore, two Canadian turboprop operators have agreed to evaluate our application.

It is estimated that fuel savings and CO2 emissions reductions of over 10% are feasible by optimizing turboprop flight trajectories using SRS’ Flight Advisory System.

Omer Majeed would like to thank GARDN for the approval of our proposal and our partners for agreeing to cooperate again on this aerospace research and development project with promising market potential.
