Flight Advisory System (FAS)
SRS has developed the Flight Advisory System (FAS) for the Beech 1900D airliner which calculates the most efficient flight trajectory to minimize fuel burn and emissions based on a set flight time. Fuel and CO2 emission savings are estimated to exceed 10% compared to baseline.
When combined with a GPS receiver, the FAS evolves from a flight planning application to an in-flight system with real-time updates to advise the crew regarding the optimal trajectory.
The Flight Advisory System is designed for an iPad-based Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and offers flight path optimization similar to a sophisticated Flight Management System (FMS), but at a fraction of the cost.
While it can be customized for any aircraft type, we are currently focused on the 19 seats or less turboprop market.
